International students with learning disabilities, and with appropriate certification integrated with international nosographic codes, must submit the learning disability diagnosis issued in their home country accompanied by a certified translation in Italian or English, duly legalised by the competent Italian Diplomatic Authority.
Students must upload their medical documentation, together with the declaration in lieu of affidavit and the authorisation to the use of particular cathegories of data. The pre-filled form is available here.
The clinical documentation and the declaration in lieu of affidavit must be uploaded during the enrolment procedure, under the Disability and SLD section.
Diagnosis validity:
- entire university career, if it has been issued AFTER the age of 18;
- for 3 years form the date of release, if it has been issued BEFORE the age of 18.
At the moment of the submission, the diagnosis of learning disabilities must:
- report the nosographic codes of ICD-10 or DSM-5 and the explicit mention of the learning disability (ie. dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography, dyscalculia);
- comply with criteria of Consensus Conference of 2011;
- include all necessary information to understand the individual features of each student, with directions of his/her own strength and weak spots.
PLASE MIND: diagnosis without international nosographic codes or with nosographic codes related to diseases different from those indicated (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysorthography, dyscalculia) will not be considered as valid.
